Follow the steps below to pull the five Clearview API credentials for each location and drop them into your DYNE dashboard. Screenshots are attached so you know exactly where each one will appear in the article layout.
1 · Open the Clearview Connections area
Sign in to Clearview with an Admin account.
In the black top bar, click Admin.
From the drop-down, choose Clearview Connections.
2 · Switch to the API Connections tab
The page opens on Partner Connections by default.
Click the API Connections tab.
Scroll until you see Get Real-Time Sales Details from CLEARVIEW (this is the bundle DYNE uses).
If the status is Connect › click Learn more and then Establish Connection.
If it already shows Connected, you’re good; proceed to the next step.
Highlight the tile so readers can see what to click.
3 · Open the connection details
4 · Copy your five credentials
Clearview now shows all the values DYNE needs. Use the Copy this buttons to grab each one:
Field | What it is | Example value* |
storeNumber | Your store ID (one per location) |
|
clientId | OAuth Client ID |
|
clientSecret | OAuth Client Secret |
|
tokenUrl | Microsoft token endpoint |
|
scope | OAuth scope string |
|
*The samples above are random placeholders; your numbers will be different.
Tip for multi-unit groups
Repeat Steps 2–4 for each store. Every location gets its storeNumber and clientSecret.
5 · Paste the credentials in DYNE
Log in to DYNE Dashboard.
Go to Settings → Integrations → Clearview POS.
Click Connect (or Edit if you’ve filled this out before).
Paste the five values exactly as they appear in Clearview, then hit Save. DYNE tests the link and shows Connected when everything checks out.
6 · Confirm data is flowing
Live sales usually appear in Analytics → Sales Sources within 24 hours. If nothing shows up:
Make sure you copied each field without extra spaces.
Verify the Clearview tile still reads Connected.
Regenerate a new clientSecret if the current one has expired.
FAQ
Question | Answer |
Do I need an auth key? | No. The five fields above fully replace the old “auth key.” |
Will the clientSecret expire? | Yes, Clearview sets a 24-month lifespan. Create a new secret and update DYNE when you get the reminder banner inside Clearview. |
Can I limit DYNE’s access? | Clearview grants only the read-only scopes listed in the Details window, so your other data stays private. |
More than one location? | Add a separate Clearview entry in DYNE for each store, each using its credentials. |
